Computer Programming I Certificate


The Certificate in Computer Programming I is 12 credits and provides basic knowledge and skills in computer programming. Completion of this certificate is minimal preparation for entry-level programming positions.

Students must take the Math Accuplacer prior to starting the certificate. Students who do not place into MATH 111Z or above must complete MATH 111Z  before beginning the certificate coursework. A minimum grade of “C-” is required in all courses counting toward the certificate, and a cumulative GPA of at least 2.00 is required to complete the certificate.

Students must complete the Certificate in Computer Programming I before starting on the certificate in Computer Programming II.

MATH 111Z is a required prerequisite for this program.
