COUN 580 - Counseling Theories II: Couples & Families: Applications & Techniques Credits: 4.5
This course introduces students to the study of family development, family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and marriage and family systems. The course will include theories, methods, and techniques of family and couples therapy with emphasis on multicultural, legal, and ethical issues in the practice of marriage and family counseling. This course is designed to provide methods and skills that can be applied in an agency and private practice setting. Student must be accepted into the CMHC program to register.
Prerequisites: COUN 530 and COUN 540
